Indian Beach Formal
For Men
Kurta: This is a traditional loose-fitting tunic often worn at Indian weddings. It is comfortable and perfect for a beach wedding! It’s likely to be the most popular choice. For the pants, you could either pick tight fitting ones (churidar) or straight cut (salwar/kurta pants).
For Women
Saree: This is a popular choice for Indian weddings! Saree Hack: Try to get one with the pleats pre-stitched so you won’t have to drape it! Pre-stitched sarees can we worn like a skirt. Pastel colors go well with the beach theme.
Lehenga/ Ghagra Choli: A lehenga is a three-piece ensemble for women that consists of a blouse, a skirt and a dupatta (which is similar to a scarf or shawl).
Western Beach Formal
Formal attire with beach-friendly comfort which includes suits and cocktail dresses. Dress in layers since it could get warm or chilly on the beach. Wear comfortable shoes that you can walk on sand in. Ladies, carry a backup pair of flats if you want to wear heels later at the reception. Optimize for comfort!
For dresses, you might want to opt for summery pastel colors, but this is optional - just be sure to avoid Black, White and Silver!
